Freedom of Speech
An actor viewed her opinion on women -> Some people agitated -> Newspapers blamed them for blocking the actor's freedom of speech
Sehwag viewed his opinion on the Ganguly issue -> The cricket board has warned him (Reference)
If my memory serves right, even Harbhajan and yuvraj have been warned earlier on similar issues.
Where is the freedom of speech now? Does the cricket board own the players' freedom of speech? Personally, I don't think Sehwag's comments would harm the board in any way.

am in a mood to read blogs of friends!!! freedom?? there is no such thing....freedom is not given..u hv to free urselves...shewag can free himself from the team...the actor has to free himself/herself from the society which has contradictory views....u cant have everything !!!
it was absurd
Hmm.Who cares about cricket anyway? :D
@Sankar
Does being in a society translate to losing one's identity? I don't think so
@Ram
Affirmative
@Swas
Look at the pic of the guy who has posted before you :-)
Isn't that some monkey whose pic he has posted? :P
Swas- that monkey is loved by millions around the globe. if that monkey gets out, millions of TV sets are switched off. ppl are ready to lose a day's wage just to see that monkey from a 500 metre distance. normal monkeys are controlled using a stick. but the stick this monkey carries in its hand controls the joy or sorrow of an entire nation. this monkey is stinking rich and yet it is humble enough to accept that it is a monkey first as against some aham pudicha good-for-nothing kazhudhais...
am telling u for the nth time. it's a sensitive topic for me. stay away...
@jammy,this trend is being seen all over the world..anything perceived as a potential for riot is tactfully avoided thus..but then,John Howard commenting upon something inflammatory he is supposed to have said"I distinctly don't remember saying that..!!"
Ppl are becoming more touchy,blame it on the tensions of the fast world!!
@poorni,getting ur point abt free speech,but it is not nice to call anybody names..
@ram,leave it,some monkeys never understand..:P
Oh well! Sorry!
And yeah! Pobably some peope just dont know how to take a joke in the right spirit! And that's for you too MJ :)
swas- apologies accepted!
poorni,point taken..
but humor seldom appeals if applied to personal likes..good-natured cribbing is hardly ever taken as thus..:)
quits.:)
