Freedom of Speech

An actor viewed her opinion on women -> Some people agitated -> Newspapers blamed them for blocking the actor's freedom of speech

Sehwag viewed his opinion on the Ganguly issue -> The cricket board has warned him (Reference)
If my memory serves right, even Harbhajan and yuvraj have been warned earlier on similar issues.

Where is the freedom of speech now? Does the cricket board own the players' freedom of speech? Personally, I don't think Sehwag's comments would harm the board in any way.

Swas- that monkey is loved by millions around the globe. if that monkey gets out, millions of TV sets are switched off. ppl are ready to lose a day's wage just to see that monkey from a 500 metre distance. normal monkeys are controlled using a stick. but the stick this monkey carries in its hand controls the joy or sorrow of an entire nation. this monkey is stinking rich and yet it is humble enough to accept that it is a monkey first as against some aham pudicha good-for-nothing kazhudhais...
am telling u for the nth time. it's a sensitive topic for me. stay away...

@jammy,this trend is being seen all over the world..anything perceived as a potential for riot is tactfully avoided thus..but then,John Howard commenting upon something inflammatory he is supposed to have said"I distinctly don't remember saying that..!!"
Ppl are becoming more touchy, blame it on the tensions of the fast world!!
@poorni,getting ur point abt free speech, but it is not nice to call anybody names..
